Japanese Beauty Routines

Japanese Beauty Routines

Japanese beauty routines are known for their focus on skincare. In fact, in Japan, skin care is
considered a form of art and is a big part of the culture.

The Japanese believe that beautiful skin starts with healthy habits and lifestyle choices.

To keep your skin shiny and beautiful, it is essential not only to focus on skincare, skincare but also to prepare lifestyles such as diet and sleep. Today, I will introduce the lifestyle habits important for creating moisturized and beautiful skin in a few essential categories. All of them are easy to incorporate, so please consider what you can do now and what you have to do better while looking back on your life.

How many steps does Japanese skincare have?

10 steps. J-beauty's core principles are care and detail, aiming to make your skin clean, hydrated, and radiant. Every step has a specific goal, and the order is also paramount.

This is a rather extensive skincare routine, which is probably hard to follow for most of us every day – not to mention the possible negative repercussions of exfoliating your skin every day.

While skincare depends on your skin's needs, we'll be looking at the five most common steps in a basic Japanese skincare routine, which includes double cleansing, double moisturizing, and suncare. Be mindful about what product you want to choose based on your skin type and preference (but never forget the sunscreen!).

The good news is that you can adopt the below habits that will make your skin look amazing. If you're interested in learning more about how to have beautiful skin, then read on!

Keep your skin clean with a careful face wash.

Keeping your skin clean is one of the most important things you can do. Make it a habit to remove dirt and makeup from your skin surface with cleansing and facial cleanser. It's a good idea to choose an item that contains moisturizing ingredients with moderate cleaning power not to remove the moisture necessary for the skin.

When washing your face, lather the facial cleanser well, gently clean it as if rolling the foam on your skin, and don't forget to wash it off with lukewarm water. Washing it too thoroughly will burden your skin, so it's important to point to finish quickly and not cause unnecessary friction to the skin.

Prevent dry skin with basic care

You have to keep your skin moist! If the barrier function is reduced and your skin becomes dry, your skin will become rough.

White Ichigo Organic Tech Wash

This foaming face wash is specially formulated to cleanse the skin and remove excess oil, dirt, and dead skin cells. It includes plant enzymes, white strawberry fruit juice, raspberry seed oil to eliminate dead skin build-up, and essential oils of lavender, thyme, and geranium to moisturize your skin. This cleanser also has hyaluronic acids, which will help repair damage caused by free radicals for more moist and luminous skin! With added orange peel, it even helps clear melasma.

The citrus scent will leave you feeling refreshed, clean, and energized.

Treat your skin gently with this cleansing cream that transforms into a cleansing oil. The cleanser has a two-in-one formula - the Cleansing Micro Encapsulated Oil, * which dissolves makeup and impurities, and the Natural Cleansing Oil.

These unique cleansing oils contain three types of hyaluronic acid - plant flower essential oils, squalene, and Castor oil to plump up your skin. It also includes Enzymes that break down dead skin proteins like melasma, freckles, and hyperpigmentation which results in clearer skin tone.

Bacteriocidal, clarifying essential oils- lavender, thyme, and rosemary eliminate bacteria that cause acne.

*Micro encapsulation is used throughout skincare for "melt" It allows ingredients to be isolated, so they don't break down in the carrier product until they are massaged. It also allows essential oils to go beyond the Langerhans cells of the skin to avoid allergic reactions.

When it comes to your skin, knowing the basics is essential. If caring for your skin, the first step is to loosen and soften the skin with toner.

White Ichigo Organic Tech Essence

This microemulsion toner is non-alcohol and designed to hydrate and improve the skin's barrier function. It contains hyaluronic acid, which has high moisture retention properties, making it suitable for dry or sensitive skin. Fortified with our potent antioxidant blend of trehalose, beta carotene, algae extract, and Vitamin C, this toner actively protects against the appearance of hyperpigmentation by subduing overactive melanocytes (skin cells responsible for producing melanin).

This is a fresh, hydrating mist that's formulated without alcohol or parabens - it will not dry out or irritate your skin as it gently sweeps away impurities so you can effectively treat discoloration.

HOW TO USE: 2–3 drops palm of hand or cotton pad, distribute evenly face and neck, allow to absorb.

LOOK AND FEEL: clear, fresh, easily absorbed, skin soft and moist.

HIGHLIGHTS: non-alcoholic toner that contains essential oils, fruit juices, hyaluronic acids, repairs melasma, 99% natural sources, Japanese product, no burn or sting, light, fresh scent, glass bottle.

Moisturizing your skin is essential, but it's not as simple as applying toner.

You should use a serum to deliver ingredients deep into the skin to get the most out of your moisturizer. Then, you should cover your face with a milky lotion or cream to seal in the moisture.

And don't stop there! In the evening, it's also essential to use a night mask after applying moisturizer to lock in all that awesome moisture.

Now, choosing a cream or gel type that stays on your skin longer than a lotion type is more effective in preventing dryness. If you are unsure about which item to choose, choose additive-free cosmetics for sensitive skin, skin-friendly products, and things that contain plenty of moisturizing ingredients such as ceramide, collagen, hyaluronic acid, proteoglycan, and minerals. Special care using intensive serums and sheet masks is also effective, so please try to incorporate them actively into your routine.

Habits that lead to beautiful skin.

First, UV protection. When exposed to ultraviolet rays, melanin is secreted as a protective measure. If the amount of melanin is average, it will be excreted as dirt, but if there is too much of it, it causes pigmentation and dark spots. In other words, exposure to ultraviolet rays causes pigmentation such as spots and dullness—so you should take measures not only in spring and summer but all year round.

Exercise moderately

Exercise is a great way to improve your general health and wellness. It helps promote blood circulation and skin metabolism, making you look and feel more youthful.

If you're new to exercise, don't worry! You don't have to try hard from the beginning. Start by sweating through aerobic exercises such as walking, stretching, or swimming—and then make exercise a habit. If you exercise outdoors, don't forget to reapply sunscreen frequently to protect yourself from UV rays.

Relieve stress

Stress is a significant factor in the aging process. It can cause your body to produce more cortisol, which speeds up your heart rate and makes your digestive system work faster. This is why people often have trouble sleeping when they're stressed out.

There are many ways to reduce stress, but one of the easiest ways is to balance your hormones. When you eliminate the cause of stress, your autonomic nerves will be easier to adjust, and you'll have fewer problems with blood vessel contraction. And if those things happen, it'll be easier for your skin turnover to maintain its normal function!

So how can you balance your hormones? There are many different methods: chatting with friends, dedicating yourself to a hobby, meditating, viewing art—or even being in nature! Try figuring out what works best for you and do those things when you feel stressed.

Meals that lead to beautiful skin.

Diet is also crucial for beautiful skin. You may not be aware of foods and drinks that are good for your skin. Here are some easy-to-use tips that you can incorporate into your daily life.

Eating healthy foods and getting enough sleep helps the body produce collagen, an essential protein that gives your skin a youthful appearance.

Fruits and vegetables contain antioxidants, which help repair damaged skin cells and reduce inflammation.

You should also drink plenty of water daily because it helps keep your body hydrated and cleanses toxins from the system.

Drink hot drinks

Is drinking hot drinks a good idea? Yes! When you drink hot drinks, your metabolism gets a little boost. It also helps to keep your body warm, which is great for wintertime.

But don't feel like you have to go out and buy a tea kettle or anything. Plain water is best for you, but if plain water isn't your thing, try barley tea or herbal tea. You must find something that you'll enjoy so that it becomes part of your routine.

And don't forget about the timing! Hydration is key to healthy skin—so make sure you're drinking throughout the day instead of all at once at one time. And before bedtime? Before work? Before lunch? Whenever feels right for you!

Bathing that leads to beautiful skin.

A bath is a great way to improve your skin's health and appearance.

The first step in maintaining beautiful skin is removing dirt from the skin. When we shower, we tend to just get clean and then get out—but soaking in a bath for 10 minutes before bed can improve blood circulation, which helps you recover from fatigue and feel better overall.

In addition, by promoting blood circulation, bathing can relieve stiffness, help recover from fatigue, and regulate the metabolism of your skin cells. This is because skin metabolism is turnover: old skin is reborn as new skin without delay. It's also recommended that you massage your muscles while taking a bath, as it improves blood circulation throughout your body and makes it easier to eliminate fatigue.

Before you sleep at night, take a warm bath for about 10 minutes in lukewarm water (around 38-40 degrees) to help you relax. If you bathe in hot water, your sympathetic nerves will be dominant and wake up quickly; if you use lukewarm water, however, your parasympathetic nerves become dominant and make it easier to fall asleep naturally.

Avoid eating and drinking alcohol before bed

When you eat or drink alcohol, the energy in your body is taken away from the digestion of food, so your sleep becomes shallow. To improve sleep quality, it is a good idea to be conscious of finishing meals about 2 to 3 hours before sleeping.

Sleep that leads to beautiful skin.

You know what they say: you can't be at your best without a good night's sleep.

And it turns out that's not just a cliche. Not getting enough sleep can actually cause your skin to age faster! That's because the body's natural processes of regeneration and repair happen while we sleep, so getting a good night's rest is extremely important for keeping your skin healthy.

It seems like such a small thing, but it might be time to revisit your sleep environment if you're not sleeping well. If you're having trouble falling or staying asleep, find ways to make your bedroom more conducive to restful sleep (like turning off all electronics an hour before bedtime).

Rest your eyes before going to sleep

When we expose ourselves to the blue light of a computer or smartphone, or the intense light emitted from a bright screen, our bodies are not yet ready for sleep. This may cause us to have trouble falling asleep at night.

Melatonin, which promotes drowsiness, is less likely to be produced when you wake up to the blue light of a computer or smartphone or the intense light emitted from a bright screen.

Before going to sleep, consciously avoid touching your PC or smartphone. You can also try conditioning yourself to fall asleep in a better condition.

Take Away

Good skin is the result of healthy habits.

The Japanese skincare routine is a great way to pamper yourself. It's relaxing, feels good, and makes your skin look amazing. The best part is that there are products on the market that you can switch things up and try new things as often as you like.

Adopting this type of regimen may take more time than your current regimen. If you want a glowing complexion, you should spend as much time removing your makeup and applying your nighttime skincare products as you do apply your makeup in the morning. In addition to daily skincare that suits your skin type, such as preventing dryness, it is good to be aware of areas that can be improved, such as adjusting your sleep rhythm and paying attention to your diet.

Good luck!
