JCOS stands for Japanese Cosmetics, and we’re obsessed with Japanese beauty. Born from a desire to share the simplistic and ritualistic traditions Japanese women have practiced for centuries with women everywhere is what JCOS is all about. What makes Japanese hair products different from Korean hair products?
Korean products focus on answering immediate hair concerns and offer wow effects, whereas the Japanese philosophy is based on prevention and sustained results.

I’m an American caucasian woman. Can I use your products on my hair?
Yes.
Our products were originally created for Asian hair types, but our universal formulas work for all hair types, including color-treated hair.
Do JCOS products contain sulfates?
JCOS shampoos and conditioners are free from sulfated surfactants, parabens, and artificial ingredients.
I have an oily scalp, but my hair is dry and brittle from bleaching it so many times. Which JCOS collection should I use for my hair type?
JCOS products were designed to help you look your best regardless of hair type, but some are better for certain concerns. For your hair type, we’d recommend using our claynal line. Over-cleansing to control excessive oil production in the scalp can leave hair dry, brittle and noticeably damaged. Our proprietary “Amino-Clay Formula” blends organic white clay, natural humin extract, and amino acids to activate detoxifying and healing properties in the scalp, removing impurities and excess oil, leaving a clean slate for hair to grow, and become nourished, smoother, and silkier.
You can also mix and match our products for added benefits. Our Cafe Latte line is ideal for every hair type. Our & honey line is excellent for split ends and dry, damaged hair as well.
My hair is very dry and tends to be frizzy. Which JCOS line would be best for my hair?
Our Ahola Butter line is excellent for thick, dry, and frizzy hair. Formulated from an ancient Japanese secret to the shiniest hair on earth, creamy butters and soothing herbal milk smooth thick, frizzy, and unruly hair leaving it glossy and silky.
Our & honey line is also excellent for dry hair. Like a refreshing and soothing sip of tea with honey, this luxurious and transformative honey based humectant cleanses hair without weighing it down or stripping it of its natural oils. Honey is the most hydrating ingredient on earth, and we’ve combined three different honey formulas in out & honey line.
Do you carry hair masks?
Our claynal SMOOTH SPA MASK relaxes and rejuvenates while detoxifying the scalp and moisturizing the hair. Botanicals and herbal extracts are released to create a relaxing, zen-like experience of the senses as lackluster hair becomes glossy, silky, and healthy. White clay surrounds every strand, allowing cashmere keratin, amino acids, and pure silk to penetrate the hair shaft from root to end, nourishing and repairing dry, brittle, and damaged hair after just one use.
Are your products safe for color-treated hair?
Crafted with sulfate-free surfactants, our shampoos, conditioners, primers, masks, and oils are safe for color treated hair.
Can I cancel/modify my order after it is placed?
To change your order, please email us immediately and include your order #. Unfortunately, once an order has been processed, we can not modify or cancel your order.
Do you test on animals?
Never! We never test on our furry friends.

Do you ship internationally?
We are currently shipping to the EU, USA, and Canada, but please email us to request shipment to the country of your choice. We will happily add it to our system upon verification. Please check our shipping page for more details.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB, Discover, and Diners Club debit/credit cards, PayPal express checkout and Apple Pay.
How long will it take to receive my order?
After payment is confirmed, we generally ship from our California warehouse within 24 to 48 hours. Orders placed on weekends and holidays will be processed on the next business day. Most orders will be delivered in 1-3 business days.
